On Friday (August 10), the "Single Ladies" singer took her vocal talents to the United Nations General Assembly Hall to celebrate World Humanitarian Day, on August 19th. Singing "I Was Here," her performance honored 22 humanitarian workers who perished in a terrorist attack in Iraq on August 19th, 2003.
Following the song, the 30-year-old star told the audience, "I'd like to ask everyone to make sure they're a part of August 19th. It's such a beautiful, beautiful day, and I'd like to honor the 22 people who lost their lives. God bless you all. Thank you so much for having me."
